PENDLETON — The Agricultural Museum of South Carolina will host “Kids Day at the Ag Museum: Ag Economics” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 23 for children in grades 3-6.

Admission is $5. Reservations are required since class size is limited. To make reservations, parents should contact Nikki Saylors at nsaylors@bgamsc.org or call 864-646-7271.

Through games and hands on activities, attendees will learn all about Agricultural Economics. Participants will learn about trade and barter, supply and demand, and the competition that farmers have on a daily basis. They will also explore the business risks associated with being a farmer such as crop failures, unforeseen expenses, and uncertainty of income.

First time attendees will have an opportunity to earn their Farm Hand badge, an educational program offered by the museum. Agricultural Museum of South Carolina backpacks will also be given to students attending their first Kids Day of the 2016 season.

The Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina is located at 120 History Lane in Pendleton.
