PICKENS COUNTY – The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man shown on videotape stealing a package off the porch of a home on Edgewood Road in Easley.

A warrant was issued Tuesday for the arrest of Anthony Ray Tuggle, 39, on a charge of simple larceny (enhanced for prior convictions on theft related incidents).

His address was listed as 220 Groce Road in Greenville on the warrant but is listed as 301 Hagood St. in Easley in the Pickens County Detention Center’s database.

Tuggle is out on bond following a previous arrest in June on a charge of second-degree burglary, according to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the warrant, Tuggle removed a package that contained luggage and accessories valued at $100 from the porch of the home after it was delivered Dec. 18 by the U.S. Postal Service.

Sheriff Rick Clark credited the news media for getting the information out to the public, which in turn helped identify Tuggle from surveillance video.

“The quick response from members of our community in coming forward with helpful information speaks to the positive changes that are occurring daily in our neighborhoods in Pickens County,” Clark said. “Residents have pulled together to work with law enforcement to rid our county of those that refuse to respect others and continue to steal from the hard working person that is trying to provide for his or her own family.”

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Anthony Ray Tuggle is asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-898-5500 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
