EASLEY — The Easley Farmer’s Market held its last gathering for 2015 on Oct. 31 just in time for Halloween. The weather cooperated to provide a beautiful day for vendors and shoppers alike.
With a slight chill in the air, Pickens County residents turned out to enjoy the brisk day and a last opportunity to enjoy the market with all of its fresh produce, handmade crafts, and neighbors all out for a stroll and a chance to “window” shop.
Even so early in the day there was the off chance of seeing trick or treaters, accompanied by parents, as they made their way through the open air market, seeking goodies from vendors while trying not to scare shoppers away.
This might have been the last market for the year, but you would not have been able to tell it from the wares and locally grown vegetables on hand. The weather certainly did not betray winter’s arrival just around the corner, though there were some crafts on hand to indicate the Christmas season and the arrival of Jack Frost were just around the corner.
