Elections are important. Every eligible American deserves the chance to weigh in. Voter registration is the key to helping shape the future of our country.

The League of Women Voters of the Clemson Area will be participating in National Voter Registration Day (NVRD), a nationwide, nonpartisan effort to register hundreds of thousands of voters on Tuesday, September 27th. We will assist voters to register and to update the address on their registration.

Now in its fifth year NWRD has been a game-changing annual nonpartisan campaign to register hundreds of thousands of voters in communities and online. Embraced by a host of celebrities, bipartisan elected officials and organizations, NVRD leverages the collective impact of thousands of community partners, including hundreds of League of Women Voters groups, nationwide, every year.

We will be at Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton from 12:30 – 1:30 on Wednesday, Sept. 28. We will also register voters at all Oconee and Pickens high schools, Hannah High School, Pendleton High School, Southern Wesleyan University, Clemson University, Clemson Downs, Oconee Heritage Center, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). We will be at Clemson Community Care on Mondays.

In South Carolina the deadline to register or update your registration before the Nov. 8 election is Oct. 8.

The League of Women Voters of the Clemson Area empowers hundreds of voters through education, registration and get-out-the-vote activities. We host candidate and issue forums and registration drives while also providing trusted and timely elections information.

We believe our democracy is strongest when every voice is heard.
