PENDLETON — The Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina will offer a Kids Day program on the science and math of farming on Saturday followed by a Story Time and More about farm crops and products.

Story Time and More is a monthly reading and activity program, and Kids Day is a monthly hands on activity program. Story Time and More, designed for ages 5 to 7, is held once a month. The cost is $2 and pre-registration is required. Programs start at 2 p.m. and run until 3:30 p.m.

The schedule is as follows:

• Aug. 23: Farm Crops and Products

• Sept. 20: Farm Life

• Oct. 4: Harvest Time

• Nov. 15: Native Americans

Kids Day is held once a month and is designed for children in grades 3 to 6. Cost is $4 and pre-registration is required. Programs begin at 10 a.m. Children should be picked up at 1 p.m.

The schedule is as follows:

• Aug. 22: Science and Math of Farming Part 2

• Sept. 19: Ecology/Climate/Environment Part 2

• Oct. 3: Plants, Animals and Insects Part 2

• Nov. 21: Farm Life Part 2

Part 2 sessions are the same theme, but include different activities. Attendance at Part I session is not necessary to attend the Part 2 session. During each session, students will work toward earning their Farm Hand, Tenant Farmer, Farmer, and Agriculturist badges, a program created by the museum.
