EASLEY — The homecoming queen and two football players from Easley High School have been arrested and are facing multiple charges, including armed robbery.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Brinae Davone Smith of Spirit Mountain Lane, Tyrese Omari Deshaun Bradley, also 18, of Duvall Street, and 17-year-old Quenten Jamal Phillips have all been charged with conspiracy and armed robbery.

Police reports state the teens were arrested on March 10 following the investigation of an armed robbery that took place on Feb. 17 in Greenville.

A spokesperson for GCSO stated that police believe at least five suspects in total robbed the victim on Cypress Cove Court in Greenville at gunpoint shortly after 9:30 p.m.

The assailants fled the scene with items that belonged to the victim as well an undisclosed amount of cash.

Two of the suspects are still being sought by authorities.

In addition to the conspiracy and armed robbery charges, Bradley was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to a warrant.

Bradley, Phillips and Smith were released from the custody of the Greenville County Detention Center after posting bonds of $25,000, $18,000 and $18,000, respectively.

Although the School District of Pickens County confirmed the three arrested were students at Easley High School, the district had no comment on whether Smith would retain her homecoming crown or if Phillips, a junior, would be permitted to play football come Fall.

“Our district has several options for providing for the safety of our schools and for the safety of students accused of a crime, including placement with the Department of Juvenile Justice, home-bound education, virtual learning, and evening classes,” said John Eby, information specialist for SDPC.

The case is currently still under investigation by the GCSO and anyone with information in this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 864-23-CRIME.
