EASLEY — Conservatives of the Upstate are hosting a free seminar on July 21 for parents interested in homeschooling.

The seminar will be held at Easley First Wesleyan Church, 104 W. 6th Ave. in Easley. It begins at 7 p.m.

Parents who are thinking about homeschooling, or parents who recently started to homeschool, are encouraged to attend.

The church has a play area and a supervised nursery area will also be available if requested.

Kelly Rowe of the S.C. Home Educators Association and Kristi Brooks of Christian Home Educators of Easley will speak to parents about their choices and decisions in homeschooling.

Topics will cover the law with regard to home education, curriculum options, costs, commitment of time, resources available, and the networks of homeschool parents and associations that offer support.
