The Daniel High School 2017 Miss Summit Pageant was held Jan. 21 and more than 30 girls competed in the activities, which included interviews and a fund-raising drive to support the Daniel Relay for Life team. Senior Mason Hebert was crowned as the 2017 Miss Summit.
Other winners included Miss Senior Valeria Contreras; Miss Junior Leah Tompkins; Miss Sophomore Julianne Johnson; and Miss Freshman Lauren Johnson. Nalia Oliver was the Charity Champion and Malia Earle was named as Miss Congeniality. A total of $1,350 was raised for Relay for Life. This money goes to support the American Cancer Society.
