PICKENS — After an incredible undefeated season in competition, the Pickens High School Marching Band was named 2016 AAA Marching Band State Champions.

Pickens Bands won the State Championship on Oct. 29 following their win of the Upper State Championship at Gaffney High School on Oct. 22 in which Director of Bands Chaz Paxton’s students beat out 20 other groups to claim first place.

Pickens Bands will be recognized for their accomplishment and will perform their award winning show Nov. 4 at half time of the Pickens versus Daniel football game at Blue Flame Stadium.
