CENTRAL – Southern Wesleyan University’s annual P.B. Wood Golf Tournament will tee off Oct. 3 at Smithfields Country Club in Easley with First Citizens as the Title Sponsor and John Ross Insurance as the Event Sponsor.
The tournament raises money for the Promise Fund, which supports student scholarships and the areas of greatest need for the University.
Prizes will include two hole in one opportunities for a new car and $10,000 and the winning team will be presented with 2017 Mizuno irons. Second and third place teams will win 2017 Mizuno drivers and sand wedges. Sports memorabilia will be featured in a silent auction.
The captain’s choice tournament has slots for 36 four-man teams. The fee is $500 for a team or $125 per player. Individual players will be placed with a team. The entrance fee covers greens fees, cart fees, meals, mulligans and other prizes. There will also be a discount for members of the clergy.
