The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding this toddler reported missing from her Pendleton home on Saturday. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911.

ANDERSON — Anderson County deputies continued to search Monday for Leaona Cheyanne Wright, age 1, who was reported missing from her home on Cherry Street in Pendleton on Saturday.

Per the incident report, the child’s mother woke up Saturday morning and noticed the front door to the apartment open and the child missing. A reverse 911 message was sent out to residents within a two-mile radius.

Leaona is described as a black female, age 1, 24 inches tall and weighing 29 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white sleep shirt. Her home address was listed as Apartment A-10 at 950 Cherry St. on the incident report.

During the case investigation, Travis Devon Jones, 33, who also lives at the Cherry Street apartment, was taken into custody on an unrelated Family Court bench warrant.

No other charges have been made in connection with the case.

Multiple agencies assisted in a search for the child on Saturday and resumed the search on Sunday with members of the sheriff’s K-9 tracking team.

Initial responding agencies included Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County Technical Rescue, Zion Fire Department, Belton Fire Department, Oconee County Emergency Services and Technical Rescue, Pendleton Fire Department and EMS, CERT and Mounted Search and Rescue, Sandy Springs Fire Department, the Red Cross and MedShore EMS.

Sheriff John Skipper has said the investigation will be ongoing.
